The history of the HKSIRThe Society was founded in 2000 and was incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance on 5 January 2001. Being a charitable institution of a public character, it is exempt from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
The objectives of the HKSIR
- To engage and support education, research, study and survey in respect of issues relating to interventional radiology.
- To promote and establish close contacts among medial professionals who are interested and working in the field of interventional radiology.
- To promote honourable interventional radiology practice, and to establish an ethical and health environment for the practice of interventional radiology in the interest of the general public of Hong Kong.
